Interested in learning how to activate your Arris or Cisco modem? You're in the right place! When you order Shaw Internet and choose the Self Connect option, you can activate your modem through the My Shaw website (my.shaw.ca) in just a few easy steps.
When you receive your new modem, follow the steps below to learn how to connect and activate your service.
For this step, you will use My Shaw online (my.shaw.ca). If you don’t already have a Shaw ID you will need to create one to sign-in. If needed, take the steps found at How To: Create a Shaw ID before continuing.
Wait (up to 5 minutes) for activation to complete.
If your activation was successful, your modem installation is complete. You will be prompted to look for your new WiFi SSID (network name) and password on your modem. Use this information to connect your devices to your WiFi network. Help for this can be found at How To: Use Shaw Internet services with your devices.
If the activation fails, check your modem setup and click the try again button when you are ready. If activation fails a second time, you may need to try a different coax outlet in your home. Otherwise, click Contact support to connect live with an available Shaw Support Chat agent.
