Connecting modem - shaw cable

Good day, wondering if anyone on here has experience in determining if you have a Shaw coaxial cable coming into the house (first time Shaw user); and with some cables coming into home, how to tell if they are active?

Techs not able to enter home because of Covid-19, so looking for any support to try and get my Blue Curve modem up and running.

The technician will look for coaxial cable running from the nearest telephone-pole to the Shaw "demarcation" box, usually on the outside wall of your house.

How many cables are going "into" the box, and how many cables are coming "out" from the box (and maybe poking through an exterior wall into some room inside your house) ?

The Shaw technician has the correct key to unlock and open this box, and the correct tools to test the "inbound" cable.

Connect the BlueCurve to one of the outlets on some inside wall, and power it on, and watch the lamps. If that port is not alive, then only the "power" lamp will be lit. After you power-on the BlueCurve, the technician, still outside your house, can test each of the cables "outbound" from that "demarc" box, to see which cable is connected to that wall-port. Then, try the next wall-port.
