deleted email keeps returning on ipad mini

Deleted emails randomly keep returning on my ipad mini.  The trash folder will show as empty for a few days, then suddenly have close to a thousand emails, some as old as three years ago. This usually happens when I move my inbox emails to my trash folder, then attempt to delete my trash. Example:  I have 50 emails in my inbox that I transfer to my now empty trash folder.  My trash folder now shows 50 deleted emails. I empty my trash folder.  If I jump back to my inbox and then back to  my trash folder, it now shows 800-1000 old emails. This does not happen on my PC, only on my ipad.

@kplange1 If those emails are viewable only on your iPad and are not being restored when accessing your Shaw email account on other devices, the issue would be in the mail client on the iPad itself, you would want to get in touch with apple support for more assistance on how to resolve that.
