Hitron vs new XB6 differences

I recently upgraded to the Advanced WIFI modem to get the BlueCurve 600 internet.  I have with my old Hitron CGNM-2250 modem used a DIR-505 router as an access point to connect via WIFI to the cable modem.  This was seamless and I was able to see the SSID and connect with the Hitron.  With the new Technicolor XB6, I can see the SSID, but it cannot connect via WIFI.

What could be different between the modems that causes this issue.?

Hey mkgraham,

Looks like other Community users did not chime into your discussion. Apologies for the delay on a response. It sounds like you previously had an IP passthrough setup with your Hitron modem with a 3rd party router. The BlueCurve Gateway does not have passthrough capabilities, if you are looking to improve your range of connectivity, we do have Blue Curve Pods available which will create a mesh WiFi network.

Cheers,
