How do I cancel my Shaw Internet account

I want to cancel the account effective September 14, because I am leaving the country. How can I do that, and also what do I do with the modem?

I see that I need to call 1-888-472-2222; however I can't do that, looks like it's because my phone plan only allows BC calls.

I have tried the chat, but it just sits there for about 15 minutes and does not connect me.
