This shows up in my settings "Devices and Printers" and states "driver is not available"

My HP 8015E printer is working fine so what is this about?

If you open a Windows command-line, enter the command:  IPCONFIG

Do you see output like:

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : wk.shawcable.net

namely the "WK" suffix, to indicate that you live in the "WK" region, not in the "CG" [Calgary] region?

Try accessing  http://support.hp.com to see if there exists a device-driver for your model.
