Seperate Wifi Networks

I currently have a Cisco DPC3825 Modem set up in bridge mode with an ASUS wireless router providing the wifi in my home. I installed a VPN on my ASUS router and it is working with no issues.

I would like to set up a separate wifi network in my home using either the Cisco Modem or a separate third party modem connected to the Cisco. I do not want the second wifi network to be routed through the VPN.

My research is giving me some conflicting advice... How would I go about doing this?

Hey thehooligans,

Thanks for reaching out! In order for the set up above to work, you will need to have a secondary IP enabled on the Cisco modem. Once that is enabled, port 1 and 2 will give out separate IP addresses for your two 3rd party routers. To have a secondary IP enabled, you will need to reach out to our customer support team members. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Cheers,
