Shaw Open - Dead Access Point (again)

Just an FYI, the Shaw Open Access point located on the corner of Resort Drive & Rathtrevor Road in Parksville, BC is has been dead for about 5 days. It no longer broadcasts an SSID.

The last time it died (about two years ago) you were kind enough to send someone out to repair it. It's the one right in front of the Log Cabin store (last time you had it confused with a different one that's also close by).

Yes, that is correct.

Thank you! I just checked and it still appears to be down. Mind you, a one day response time is probably asking a bit much 🙂

Plus, they work Monday to Friday, so it could take a few days.

They replied to my email that they are aware of the problem and are working to get it resolved as soon as possible.

I think they might be just stringing you along. It's been more than a week and if they don't work weekends....it won't be fixed for some time yet.

Two weeks now. Has Shaw stopped maintaining the network because of the Rogers buyout?
