I would like to know why there are no shaw wi-fi hotspots at our hospitals and cancer care clinics?
The decision to allow Shaw to install their wifi access points would be up to the management of the facility. Plus, given the size of many hospitals, it would be a complex install requiring many APs.
@MervKr -- there is public WiFi access within the institutions of BC's "Island Health" region.

There also is a multitude of "private" WiFi networks inside those locations.
So, adding an "open" network could be technically as easy as configuring the existing Access-Points. Getting administrative permission to do so is a different ball of wax.
