Trying to port forward and BlueCurve Modem

I have set up a port using the router settings and even set up a static IPv4 for my computer. When I tried to check if the port opened I only found it was closed. I have tried changing ports and setting new static ips but nothing seems to be working.

Hey r.lee12, do you have these port settings setup through the modem settings directly, or are they through the Shaw Home App and on http://internet.shaw.ca?

This may be similar to a forum question here and they have found success with the steps. Let me know how it goes!
