Webmail and latency issues

Just got Shaw connected, and I am seeing a *lot* of latency when opening new Web pages.

Also, Shaw Webmail will suddenly no longer open in the Avast browser.

What are the specifications for your computer? Windows 7/8/10/11? Dual-core or quad-core processor? Speed of the processor (1.6 Ghz? 2.4 Ghz? over 3 Ghz?) Which web-sites? (Some web-sites are in the Eastern USA, which results in latency.) What Internet speed did you get? When you access the Shaw Speed Test, what numbers are reported for download, and for upload? Is your computer connected via Ethernet cable or via WiFi to the cable-modem?

As for "will suddenly no longer open", I just had an online chat with a Shaw Agent, who admitted that the "unable to connect to server" message is "a national issue for the last 4 months".  Is that the issue that you have noticed?  Will the WebMail site open when using the Microsoft Edge web-browser?

Contact Shaw: 1-888-472-2222 or www.shaw.ca/chat to get free assistance.

Note that the Shaw Agent can remotely logon to the cable-modem, to view the modem's performance statistics, including "signal strength". Low signal-strength can trigger problems.
