On 2021/02/04, My wife and I ported our mobile phone numbers from FIDO to signed up for Shaw Mobile at Walmart Vancouver. I also bought a $10/1GB data for my phone.
Everything seemed to work well. Each of us was given a temporary phone number. We tested them out by calling each other (using the temp numbers) inside Walmart before we left.
We didn't test the temp numbers again while at home.
When our original numbers kicked in, we found that my wife's voice calling did not work. There were no dialing tunes for either incoming or outcalling calls. Although, for incoming calls she would receive a "miss call" notification.
We went back to Walmart but the guy said that he has done what he could and that the phone is just not supported.
My wife's phone is XIAOMI A2 Lite with two SIM slots. Both IMEI numbers are "Compatible" according to the Compatability List.
Can someone solve this mystery, please?

@ktchiu -- the phone is just not supported
Sigh. Bad employee! Swat their nose with a rolled-up newspaper.
Instead, try the directions on this Shaw web-site.

Grand Master indeed! It works!!! 😀😀😀 Thank you very much. The solution is unbelievably simple. It should be included the sale staff's handbook.
