Use the parental controls feature in Ignite (formerly BlueCurve) TV to view successful and unsuccessful attempts when a PIN was required.

How to view PIN History

One of the great features of the parental settings on Ignite TV is that it keeps a history of all instances when a PIN was requested by the system. It also records whether PIN entry was successful or not, and why the PIN prompt appeared (i.e. attempting to access a blocked channel).

In order to view PIN History, the Locks PIN must first be set up.  See How to Set Up Your Parental Control Pin (Locks PIN)  for more information.

To view PIN history from your Ignite TV guide:

  1. Press the Shaw button on your remote.
  2. Use the right arrow button to select Settings (the gear icon).
  3. Press OK on the remote.
  4. Use the down arrow and select Parental Controls and press OK
  5.  You may be required to enter your Locks PIN.  Use the number buttons on the remote control to enter your 4-digit Locks PIN:
  6.  Use the up or down arrow to highlight PIN History and press OK.
  7.  Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the list.
  8. Press Last to return to the previous menu or Exit to exit the guide and return to regular programming view.
