I have turned this off probably 20 or 30 times now over the last couple of years when this first started. After searching I found out how to turn it off globally instead of show by show (settings main menu). However, every couple of weeks, I have to turn it off again, I assume when Shaw/Motorola does an update to their horrendously buggy software! I'm using a Motorola DCX3510M.
@dalehuhtala You can send in a request to turn off DVS after a firmware update on Motorola HDPVR here: https://www.shaw.ca/contact-us/your-voice Who knows it may be included in the future updates!
Thanks, I think I did that. The fact that a process exists to do this would suggest this should have been rolled out globally...a long time ago!
I've been using these boxes for 30 years and I can't believe how terrible and buggy the software still is! I'm in IT...we would never keep our jobs with a product like this!
