dct3416 not powering up

Cannot power up DCT3416 PVR.  It is getting power but the front panel power button does nothing.  I tried unplugging the unit and re-plugging it after a while but nothing happens.  What else can I try?

@marcher If you've already confirmed that electrical outlet is able to power other devices, or tried connecting the cable box to another electrical outlet, then we would want to arrange to have a technician come out to take a look at the equipment.
