Gateway App Settings: sort channels “like portals”?

What does sorting my channels “like portals” mean?

i can understand sort by “channel number” but not sort “like portals”.

Does the layout of the channel-list on a Portal match the layout of the channel-list on the Gateway?

If not, then you can change the layout on the Gateway to "make it like" ("match") the layout on a Portal.
