Today our TV channels audio is just cutting in and out and our guide is half blank (not showing the channels it should). Also our internet has been lagging.

I recommend that you contact Shaw (www.shaw.ca/chat) or 1-888-472-2222 and get Shaw to trouble-shoot. After all, they collect a huge pile of money from you, every month; make them "earn" it. 🙂
Also, where do you live? See Shaw's Service Outages page, for any reported problems in your area.
Do you have neighbours who also subscribe to Shaw, and similarly have "lagging" ?
@CasaCoates Give everything a power cycle and see of that helps.
For anyone having this issue with audio cutting out. I solve the problem by unplugging HDMI then plug back in .
