All the wires seem to be connected - my cable box shows "no ip"- it turns on and off but that's all,. Is there a code for the cable box I'm missing?????
No IP means that there is no signal on the cable line coming from the wall, Is it connected the to cable in? Did you cable at the outlet before?
@Fred10 -- problem setting-up cable box; my cable box shows "NO IP".
If this is the first time that you have tried to connect this cable-box, copy the serial-number from the back of the unit, and telephone Shaw (1-888-472-2222), and choose "activations". Shaw needs to activate the serial-number of the cable-box, to authorize the cable-box to be used on their network. Once activated by Shaw, the cable-box should be fully usable within 15 minutes.
