How do I check that I can activate a used receiver that I bought from someone else?

Hi @ajimt , you just need to mark down the serial number for the used unit and get ahold of Shaw.  You can either phone or chat with them and ask them to check the serial number of the unit, they will let you know if the unit is free and clear for you to use, or if it actually still registered to someone else for use.  Hope this helps.
