Trying to activate it talked to technical team & having a technician coming over to look at it this Saturday...it's weird on the screen it says "This device needs to be activated before we can continue" & do look online about the error code which is XRE-00250 in the Shaw troubleshooting section & it does show all the the error codes expect this one....in fact I did see but for only for Xfinity cable & Comcast.....does anyone know what I can do?...kind of weird it's not in the Shaw error codes.....my box is a BluecurvevTV player XG14-A TI...also talked to tech agents on the phone & via chats......thanks.

Do you continue to experience this issue? If so, it looks like this error, XRE-00250 is also related to a guide error.

Shaw gets its cable-modems from Comcast.
Any guesses from whether Xfinity cable gets their cable-modems ?
