With IPTV around the corner it’s time to add Free Range to Apple TV, other streamers and smart TV os’s like Tizen, webOS and Android. Shaw’s home wifi is plenty powerful enough now and I for one would like to do all my TV viewing through Free Range and apps like Netflix, Prime, Gem and YouTube apps on my Apple TV and or Samsung TV. No more cable boxes, just apps.
Free Range could do with a couple enhancements like video rental, 4K and cloud PVR TV to make IPTV nirvana a reality. Even a separate Stingray app linked to a Shaw subscription would be a plus.
Seems to me all monetization could occur through the app subscription model.
