TCM Channel Freezing

For the past few months, I have noticed some issues with the Turner Classic Movies channel. Every so often, it will freeze for a second or two. This happens regularly, although how often it occurs can vary. Sometimes it only does it once every 10-15 minutes or so, and other times it does it far more frequently. A couple of times it has been so bad (freezing every couple of minutes) that it’s made it completely unwatchable. I’ve noticed it while watching the channel live, and with programs I’ve recorded on the PVR. I have not had this issue with any other channel, and like I said, it’s only been a problem over the past couple of months. What can be done to resolve this? (In case it matters, I have a regular HD cable box, not Blue Sky TV).

I have similar issues...screen freezing, distorting, then black screen for about 10 seconds then it returns. Happens too often throughout the day. My remotes have been replaced by when I call up the guide, it takes 5 seconds to show up on the screen. Some days though are better then other days which makes me think Shaw is have some cable transmission issues. When you contact them, the support tells me the same line, it is a national problem and we will add your address to the list. Well it has been months this has been happening. I need my older blue curve pvr replaced...the one I have is almost 4 yrs old.

@mlehto the problem could be with the broadcast or the signal in your house. Do you have more than one cable box, does this happen on other boxes? Are there any splitters that you can temporarily bypass and test? You will likely need to contact Shaw to begin the troubleshooting process.
