Taken out of device. No notifications. Very upset just told must speak to customer service for another box. Must wait till Monday.
How can you do that without letting us know. Customer of Shaw for 17 years. Will look at alternatives.

@1Errol -- must wait until Monday
Really? Contact Shaw: 1-888-472-2222 or www.shaw.ca/chat and get them to ship a replacement box to you.

Really? One friend got a telephone-call from Shaw, about their "old" TV box, and how they were automatically shipping a DCX 3510 replacement.
See: https://support.shaw.ca/t5/tv-articles/about-regional-tv-box-upgrades/ta-p/32715
for a list of TV boxes being "retired", either regionally or throughout all their service regions.

I definitely do think you should have received a call or an e-mail about this box being retired. But it was listed here about 6 months ago:
the arris box dct 3200 p3 and or arri gateway stilll available, you ccan upgrade to those boxes for free i hope. ou shouldnt have to pay to upggrade as you already bought the old 6416 boxes good luck
Yes spoke to support on Monday and they arranged for tech to come out and change the box out.
many thanks

indicate no eSATA port (where an Expander would connect).
But, with "Shaw On Demand", you can get "day-after" viewing of many programs -- seemingly fewer commercials than in the original broadcast.
