Out of date info for account payment

We received two email today telling us our card where our payments are taken from was out of date and we owed for our bill.  On follow up we see the the payment in full was taken from our account a few days ago.  We are assuming these two letters are scams.  If not you need to contact us in a different way than by email,

Yes, those E-mail messages could have been scam attempts. Avoid clicking any hyperlinks in the body of such messages.
