Along with fiber-to-the-home, the announcement contains the text:

The Comcast "Gigabit Pro" fiber connection that provides 10 Gbps speeds

costs $299.95 a month

plus a $19.95 modem lease fee.

It also requires a $500 installation charge

and a $500 activation charge.

By the way, that is US dollars. 

That's a lot of money to get bragging-rights that my Internet is the fastest, but it does depends on the customer downloading from servers on the Internet that can send/receive data at such speeds.  One might find such speeds on Canada's "Canarie" network (connecting Canadian universities & research organizations via fiber-optic cables).

@mdk  Rogers is partnering with CableLabs to bring 5G and 10G over cable. Using cable to deliver 5G wireless cellular and 10G cable internet. I don’t like when they use terms like 10G in marketing, it just confuses everyone.

There is a hyperlink on the web-page that you cited to a page that indicates that a regulatory agency in the USA also did not like the confusion, recently forcing Comcast to agree to discontinue its “Xfinity 10G Network” branding.
