The A&E app allows you to browse and stream your favourite A&E content directly on your mobile device. Shaw customers who subscribe to A&E can sign in with their My Shaw username or Shaw email credentials to access the full catalogue of available content.

How to download

You can download the A&E app for your iPad, iPhone, or Android phone device from their respective app stores. The app is free to download.
 
For iOS: Download A&E app from the iTunes store now.

Requires iOS 9.0 or later.

 

For Android: Download the A&E app from the Google Play store now.

Requires Android 4.4 and up.

How to sign in and authenticate

To sign in to the A&E App swipe from the left-hand side of the screen and choose Sign In. If you are using an iPad or Android tablet, simply select Sign In at top of the app.

Once you have chosen to sign in, you will be asked to select your provider from a list. Shaw Cable and Shaw Direct customers can choose Shaw Go, and then proceed with sign in. Shaw Cable and Shaw Direct customers can sign in to the app with their Shaw ID and password.

Navigating the A&E app

The A&E app provides you with access to a number of your favourite A&E shows. With the app, you can add episodes to a personal queue, see newly released and popular content and more. See additional links below for detailed information.

Navigation on iPhone or Android Phone

To open the navigation drawer on an iPhone or Android phone, swipe from the left-hand side of the app. The navigation drawer provides users with easy access to the A&E apps features and allows you to filter content. You are also able to access the settings menu through the navigation drawer from which you can change user preferences, see FAQ and more.

Navigation on iPad or Android Tablet

On the iPad or an Android tablet, you can access navigation features from the top and bottom of the home screen. These features include featured content, a full list of shows, just added, your personal watch list, and A&E's schedule. Features of the A&E app

Here are some of the notable features of the A&E mobile app.

 

  1. Featured: Featured setting allows you to see the content that is most popular and trending on A&E
  2. Shows: Full list of A&E shows with content available for streaming through the A&E App
  3. Just Added: Newly added content
  4. Schedule: Schedule of upcoming shows playing on A&E
  5. Watch List: Watch List allows you to continue previously viewed shows that were not completed, or add shows to a queue for easy access. To add a show to your Watch List, simply tap on it, then select the Watch List icon. You can remove shows by selecting the edit option from within Watch List

How to watch episodes online

A&E offers streaming episodes online through aetv.com. Some of the content is available for streaming automatically, and others will require you to sign in with your Shaw account before you can watch the content. You will be prompted to sign in once you have selected content which is restricted. Choose Shaw Go from the list of providers, and then enter your sign-in credentials.

  • Shaw Cable customers can use their Shaw ID and password
  • Shaw Direct customers can use their Shaw ID and password.

What is the A&E App?

The A&E app allows you to watch your favourite A&E programming on your mobile device or tablet. Full episodes of all our series, including hits like Duck Dynasty and Storage Wars, will be available to stream the day after they air, and many shows feature full episodes from past seasons as well. In addition, tons of online-only content including behind the scenes footage, cast interviews and sneak peeks will be available to all users.

 

How much does it cost to use the A&E app?

The A&E app is totally free to download and use but you must be subscribed to the A&E channel in order to unlock all the content on the app with your Shaw ID and password.

 

What devices does the A&E app work on?

The A&E app currently works on iPads and iPhones running iOS5 and later, Android tablets and phones running OS 4 and later, and the Kindle Fire HD.


What sort of connection will I need?

The A&E app will work over a 3G cellular connection, but a broadband Wi-Fi or 4G connection is recommended for the optimal experience.
