Two-step verification is a security measure for your My Shaw account. When it's enabled, login attempts will trigger a 6-digit pin code to be sent to you by SMS text or email— your choice — and entering that pin code into the My Shaw website (my.shaw.ca) will grant you access to your account. This added verification step is optional and only used when logging in through the My Shaw website — not the My Shaw app.
Set up two-step verification
The first time you log in to the My Shaw website, you will prompted to set up two-step verification for your account. Every login attempt after that, you will receive a new 6-digit code that expires after 30 minutes.
In the2-Step Verificationcolumn next to a Shaw ID, click SMS or Email.
Click Remove SMS or Remove Email.
Confirm your choice if prompted.
If you only have one two-step verification method set up, you will be asked to confirm that you are removing two-step verification entirely. If you remove your primary two-step verification method, the remaining method will become the primary by default.
