@Hpb2008 -- how to empty my mailbox?

  1. Logon to Shaw WebMail.
  2. Click on the name of a mailbox, to view the messages in that mailbox.
  3. Click on any message in the selected mailbox.
  4. On your Windows keyboard, hold down the CTRL key, and tap the "a" key. Release both keys.
  5. On your Windows keyboard, hold down the SHIFT key, and tap the DELETE key. Release both keys.
  6. If asked to "confirm" the deletion of the selected messages, click "OK".
  7. Repeat for all other mailboxes, including "Trash".

Done.

There are easier ways to skip steps 4 to 7. To delete an individual message in any folder just click on the message to open it and then click on the " Delete " button near the top of the page. To delete all the messages in a folder just right-click on the folder and then click on the " Empty Folder " option.

Interesting. Does that permanently delete the message(s), or does it move the messages to the "Trash" folder?

When you click on the " Delete " button it will send that e-mail to the Trash Folder. When you want to empty the Trash Folder in one shot that's when you right click on it and then choose the " Empty Folder " option. After you do that the e-mails that were in there are now gone for good.

While holding-down the SHIFT button, and then tapping on the DELETE button on your keyboard, where do the messages go? 🙂

@Dunnington -- this is a peer-to-peer discussion forum, not an official path to contact Shaw Support.  So, Shaw Agents probably do know, but they don't participate in this forum.

Which of the above suggestions have you tried? Did any of them work for you?

Possibly the worse email managing system I've had to deal with.

Browser-based and locked-off is a horrible option.

@erics64 -- Browser-based

Yes, if you use Shaw WebMail.

No, if you use any E-client, such as Windows 10 Mail, Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, or other "full-featured" clients.
