On what days in April & May did Shaw debit your bank account? The 29th of each month?

Presumably, the Shaw invoice issued early in June, for services you received during June, was due by July 2nd. You had 30 days to pay, or you had authorized Shaw to automatically debit your bank account on the 30th day after the issue of the June invoice.

Note that Monday July 1st was a national holiday.  So, if a person in their Accounts Department was not working that day (or the preceding Saturday [28th] & Sunday [29th), they would have debited your account on Tuesday, July 2, instead of the final 2 days of June.

The Shaw invoice for services in July was issued before "July 15" -- the date that Shaw changed its policy for payments.  So, payment was still due 30 days after the invoice, namely "a month" after June 29th.

Your Shaw invoice for services in August probably was issued on July 29 -- 2 weeks after the new policy came into effect. So, under the new policy, any auto-debit would be processed 14 days later, i.e., just before mid-August. Also, under the new policy, the "30 days to pay" has been reduced to "21 days to pay".  [Note that credit-card companies also use "21 days".]

All the details about the new policy are stated on your monthly invoice (viewable through the My Shaw Portal).
