Rogers Xfinity WiFi Boost Pods (formerly known as Fibre+ WiFi Pods) are WiFi extenders that work with your Rogers Xfinity Gateway (formerly known as Fibre+ Gateway) and Rogers Xfinity app (formerly known as Ignite Home App). They ensure wall-to-wall WiFi coverage in any home, and are easily activated on your home network using the Rogers Xfinity app.

Pods are designed to provide extended, more consistent coverage throughout your entire home by eliminating "dead spots" — areas where WiFi coverage is weak or drops. They won't boost your Internet speed or provide the maximum speed of your Internet tier.

WiFi Pods Features

Here are some of the key features of our WiFi Pods:

  • Easy Installation
Designed with simplicity in mind, pods plug directly into any electrical outlet and require no wires to get going. Visit Setting up and activating Rogers Xfinity WiFi Boost Pods to get started!

  • Rogers Xfinity app Integration
Guided setup via the Rogers Xfinity app allows for quick and easy activation of pods.

  • Wall-to-wall WiFi Coverage
Pods are designed to provide extended, more consistent coverage throughout your entire home.

  • Tri-band Radio (Rogers Xfinity WiFi Boost Pods (Gen 2) only)
Allows for communication between the Rogers Xfinity Gateway and the Rogers Xfinity WiFi Boost Pods to run separate from the pod and its connected devices for uninterrupted communication.

  • Multiple Ethernet Ports (Rogers Xfinity WiFi Boost Pods (Gen 2) only)
With a second ethernet port, Rogers Xfinity WiFi Boost Pods can now provide a wired connection to a second device.

  • Adaptive Mesh
With WiFi mesh technology, access points work together as one to create a single WiFi network. In larger homes, more access points can be added to ensure full coverage.

  • Unique Design
Pods have a unique, angular design, and fit in perfectly with your Rogers Xfinity  Gateway and Rogers Xfinity TV (formerly known as Ignite TV) equipment.

Eligibility

To use Rogers Xfinity WiFi Boost Pods, you will need:

Do I need pods?

Do you have rooms in your home with poor WiFi connectivity? If so, pods may be a good solution. Pods help extend the range of WiFi coverage in your home to hard-to-reach areas, or areas with poor WiFi signal.

Will pods improve my Internet speed?

No, pods won't increase your Internet speed, and are not intended to provide the maximum speed of your Internet subscription tier. Pods will only help you connect in areas where you could not previously connect to your in-home WiFi.
