Modem specifications

Available connections on the BlueCurve Gateway include two Ethernet ports for hardwired devices, and dual band WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz). There are also factory reset and WPS buttons for resetting the modem and connecting devices via WPS.

How to configure modem settings

The Admin Tool allows you to change various settings on the modem, everything from WiFi passwords to parental controls, and more advanced settings such as port forwarding. To access the Admin Tool:

  1. Enter 10.0.0.1 into the address bar of your Internet browser.

  2. Log in to the modem with the following information:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: password
      (These are the default login credentials for the admin tool. If you have previously changed your password, use that instead).
  3. Click Login

Modifying your modem settings will allow you to:

  • Change the name of your wireless network
  • Change your WiFi password
  • Run network diagnostic tools
  • Set up blocked sites and keywords (parental controls)
  • Reset your modem

How to change WiFi name (SSID) and password

To change the name or password for your WiFi network you will need to log into the Gateway admin tool, which will allow you to configure various settings related to your WiFi network.

  1. Enter 10.0.0.1 into the address bar of your Internet browser.

  2. Log in to the modem with the following information:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: password
      (These are the default login credentials for the admin tool. If you have previously changed your password, use that instead).
  3. Select Connection > WiFi from the menu on the left.
  4. Select the Edit button beside either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz to change the name of that network.
  5. Enter your desired WiFi Network name and Network Password.
  6. Select Save Settings to finish.

Note

If you choose to keep the same name for both networks, only one SSID will show up to your wireless devices. In this case, the BlueCurve Gateway will use whichever band is more optimal for your device (2.4GHz or 5GHz).

How to reset the BlueCurve Gateway using the Admin Tool
You can reset your Gateway through the Admin Tool. There are several different reset options available with this method, including: regular reset, WiFi module only, WiFi module and router, WiFi settings, and full factory reset. Resetting the modem may be helpful if you're having trouble getting online, or during various other troubleshooting scenarios.
  1. Enter 10.0.0.1 into the address bar of your Internet browser.

  2. Log in to the modem with the following information:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: password
      (These are the default login credentials for the admin tool. If you have previously changed your password, use that instead).
  3. Choose Troubleshooting > Reset/Restore Gateway from the menu on the left.
  4. The Reset/Restore Gateway (modem reset) options are displayed.

    • Reset
      Restart the gateway (modem and router modules). Wired and wireless devices will lose connectivity. Settings will not be lost.
    • Reset WiFi Module
      Restart just the WiFi module of the gateway. Wireless devices will lose connectivity. Settings will not be lost.
    • Reset WiFi Router
      Restart the entire router (WiFi module included). Wireless devices will lose connectivity. Settings will not be lost.
    • Restore WiFi Settings
      Restore WiFi settings back to their default state. Wireless devices will lose connectivity. Only WiFi settings will be lost.
    • Restore Factory Settings
      Restore all settings back to their default state. Wired and wireless devices will lose connectivity. All custom settings will be lost.

 

Note

If you select the Restore Factory Settings option. this reset will delete all of your custom configurations, including any changes you made to your SSID, network password, and wireless channel settings.
