This article will step you through the process of changing your WiFi password on an Arris (SBG6782) modem. To do that, you'll need to log in to the modem and change settings in its admin console.

Set a new password

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter "" in the address bar.
  3. Enter the username "cusadmin" (lowercase).
  4. Enter the current password (case sensitive) found on the white sticker on your modem.
  5. Click Manage Wi-Fi Network.
  6. Click the 2.4G or 5G tab, for the network you want to set a new password.
  7. Type a new network password in the Passphrase field
  8. Click Apply before closing the window.

Restore default password

If you would like to restore the default password, you can perform a pin-hole reset. This will restore all of the default settings, including the WiFi channel and network name.

  • Locate the small pin-hole reset button on the back of your Shaw modem.
  • Push and hold the button with a paperclip or pin and hold for 15 seconds.
  • The lights on the modem will begin to flash if the reset was successful.
