Taking a day off or planning a vacation? You deserve it. While you’re away, you can have your Shaw email account reply automatically to any email you receive. Use the tips below to learn how to set up an auto-reply or vacation message in Shaw Webmail.

How to set an auto-reply message

To set up an out of office or vacation message in Shaw Webmail:

  1. Go to https://webmail.shaw.ca
  2. Log in using your email and password.
  3. Click the Preferences tab and select Out of Office.
  4. Select Send auto-reply message.
  5. Enter your preferred message into the Auto-Reply Message text box
  6. Optionally, you can:
    • Enter a start and end date in the Time Period text box. If you don’t choose an end date, the auto-reply message will continue until you disable it.
    • Use External Senders to set a different message to for anyone outside your domain (@shaw.ca) and not in your contacts. If this setting is not selected, the first auto-reply message will be sent to anyone who emails you.
  7. Click Save.
