@jeremyfelix -- It would take almost 4 days to upload 1TB from one's hard drive at Shaw's upload speeds of 25Mbps
That was a few years ago. Today, with 100 Mbps uploads throughout Shaw:
1 TB == 1000 Gbytes == 8000 Gbits == 8,000,000 Mbits
8,000,000/100 ==> 80,000 seconds ==> 1333 minutes ==> 22.2 hours
So, add per-packet overheads, and you get 24 hours -- a 4-times improvement.
