How do you change Wifi Mode

When you go to  Gateway > Connection > Wi-Fi > Edit 2.4 GHz It will say: Wi-Fi Mode, Security Mode, Channel Selection, Channel Mode, and Channel Bandwidth are being managed automatically to help optimize your home Wi-Fi network and improve Wi-Fi coverage. I need to change the wifi mode to mixed instead of 802.1.1g/n because older devices cannot connect to the internet if it is not set to 802.1.1 mixed/ 802.1.1b. However, everything on that page is greyed out and cannot be edited. Any suggestions on how I can change it?

@JuvyOcomen -- what older devices do you have that only use the "Wireless B" protocol?

For an older notebook computer, a technician can change its WiFi adapter to a "Wireless G" or "Wireless N" adapter.

For an older desktop computer, there do exist WiFi adapters that connect to an empty USB slots, to provide "G" or "N" or "AC" connections.
