Internet Dropping constantly

Anyone in the Saanich area experiencing constant Internet dropping both Wi-Fi and wired? Have been having this for a number of weeks had Shaw over twice change and tested all equipment but still the same… Trying to rule out if it is localized to my equipment or or others experiencing similar

Do you have a "Block Watch" group for your street, in conjunction with the Saanich Police? Asking your neighbours through this group if they use Shaw and they have the same issue seems to be reasonable.  If no group, then just make face-to-face contact with your neighbours.

Do you have any coaxial-splitters (wall-outlet to splitter to TV and to cable-modem and to Shaw Phone Adapter) that could problematic?

Do you subscribe to Shaw TV and/or to Shaw Phone, or do you only have Shaw Cable? If so, did Shaw offer to replace the cable-modem, since that device is your gateway to the Internet?

Haven’t checked about Block watch… but Shaw has been here...

Haven’t checked about Block watch… but Shaw has been here twice..changed all coax from their street side junction to house, from outside to wall, splitter and modem…

Seemed to work better for a couple of days (improved signal strength) but now back to where it was .. dropping internet regularly (hourly or less)

Shaw Tech verified they could see 5 consecutive connection drops (at last visit)… but left thinking g it was fixed!

very frustrating

Indeed!

Do you have a power-bar with surge-protection or a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) connected to your Shaw cable-modem and your computer, to provide "smoothed" power to those devices, to prevent power-surges?

Did Shaw replace any of the coaxial-cable splitters, either inside their demarcation box, or between the coaxial-cable wall-outlet and your cable-modem and/or TV ?
