Port forwarding not working

I have spent all day trying to get port forwarding working, ive tried everything on every website I could find, looked through this entire discussions area to no avail. Shaw support isnt trained to help with port forwarding so my last ditch effort is to ask here.

I have a static IP, a public IP and set the port to the proper UDP 37015-37020. It should work, yet it says its not forwarded and I cannot host anything.

I use the Fibre+ Gateway Technicolor Model- CGM4140COM PN-CGM4141SHW

Where do you see that error-message?  On your app?

Are you forwarding only UDP ports, or also TCP ports?

So, I am trying to use port forwarding to broadcast a server for R5Reloaded modded apex among other games, I know its not working because it wont let me host any games. Clicking broadcast on the f10 menu of apex to host a server wont work. and trying to host a dedicated server and get it on the list in games like the isle and minecraft just arent working.

I also tried installing a port checker, (From portforward.com) I checked the ports from 37015-37020 and all of them said my port wasnt forwarded. So I can only assume, its not working.

The apex port im using is 37015-37020 UDP, its not TCP or both. I gave up on the isle and minecraft and just hosted those servers through a third party.

Did you install "port checker" on a computer that is not "inside" your LAN (local area network) ? Doing so is the only way that this software can "probe" your Shaw cable-modem to check for open ports.

Did you check those ports for UDP packets, for TCP packets, or for both?

What package are you installing? Are instructions for the necessary "opening" of ports listed on that "portforward.com" web-site?

@YAMADA_M -- could it be the Windows Firewall (or the firewall component of any "Internet Security Bundle" package) that is blocking those ports, even when the cable-modem is forwarding the ports?  Check the log-file from the Firewall software, for blocked connection attempts.

@YAMADA_M -- how to check the Windows 10 firewall log file

That is a question that a Google-search will provide a much more comprehensive answer than I can write.
