Saving emails outside of shaw

BHM
Grasshopper

I continually get an email message "quota warning" so now I know that I have too many emails saved to folders and i am told to delete them but I need them as I do volunteer work and they are records of letters I send out.

I was also told to move them but to where? and how?

Thanks!

Hey BHM,

There is the Export feature in Shaw webmail, have you tried that?

Alternatively, you could use an email client software and set it up so all the emails are downloaded locally and then deleted off your Shaw webmail. This will allow you to keep a copy of every single email on say your work computer while freeing up space from the server that all the messages initially must go to.

@Lindaloo21 -- don't know what Webmail is

Open your web-browser, and access http://WebMail.Shaw.ca

Login with your Shaw E-mail ID & password, to see your E-mail messages.

Along the left edge of the window, click on the word "Trash".

Select and permanently delete all the items, to free-up more of your "quota" for new messages.

@Lindaloo21 -- do you see the following after clicking "Preferences" within shaw WebMail?

There are both "spam" and "Import/Export" items.

@Lindaloo21 -- no feature

  1. Login to Shaw WebMail;
  2. Click on "Preferences";
  3. Do you see that "Import/Export" among the choices along the left edge? If so, click on those words.

If that is not what you are seeing, can you use the Windows Snipping Tool to capture a screen-shot of what you see, after you have clicked "Preferences", and post that image into this thread?
