Transaction fee

Hi,

I cancelled my account on Aug 4 since I left Canada. But I have been charged $199 for transaction fees. The agent who helped me to do the cancellation didn’t tell me this fee. After I got the bill the agent said it includes one unreturned equipment fees. But I have returned the wifi gateway on Aug 5. I followed the instruction from the agent by

  1. put the old equipment (Wi-Fi Modem), and leave a message (MY NAME AND SHAW ID ACCOUT NUMBER) on a paper in the original box.
  2. Then I took it to Canada Post to ship it. The agent in Canada Post only asked PR number but not my name or any other my information, and finished the post. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of the tracking number.

I returned it at 4pm on 5 Aug. It has BEEN almost one month and the returned equipment still has not been logged. I tried to several times to obtain the tracking number. But Canada Post can’t help me.

I have created many cases ever since through live chat and phone. I am wondering if you could find the returned equipment based on the serial numbers or open the box to see my paper written with my account information.

The shipment was merely from Vancouver island to somewhere and it's been more than 4 weeks ever since I sent out. I can't believe it takes that long. If the receiver does not log the equipment back to the asset tracking system, I don't think it falls under the customer's responsibility to pay it. Please WAIVE the fee and make this case and internal case. It is SHAW's problem that couldn't locate the device and not my problem.

Thanks

This forum is not a path to the "Billing Department" at Rogers Support [1-888-472-2222].

John, please do not post personal information into this public forum. Doing so is an invitation for a scammer to contact you, spoofing that they are calling from Rogers.

Your employer has a "Help Desk" that can give you advice about being safe online, either on their web-site, or on the telephone.
