Disney+ sign up & eligibility
Yes. New Shaw customers or those renewing a 2-year ValuePlan may be eligible for special offers on Disney+ when signing up through Shaw.
Note: Subscribing to Disney+ from your TV set-top box, or through the Disney+ website or mobile app, means your subscription will be billed separately by Disney+ and will not appear on your Shaw bill.
When you subscribe to Disney+ through Shaw you will need to activate your Shaw-billed subscription by linking it to a new or existing Disney+ account.
Within a few days of signing up, you will receive an activation email from us with steps to link your account.

Yes. If you have an existing Disney+ subscription directly with Disney, you can easily activate your Shaw promotional subscription using the same Disney+ account and your existing Disney+ subscription will be paused automatically. You must take these steps to activate to ensure that your pre-existing Disney+ account is linked and that billing for your pre-existing Disney+ subscription is paused.
If you have an existing Disney+ subscription billed via a third party (i.e. Apple, Google, etc), you must manage that subscription with that third party in order to avoid duplicate subscriptions and fees.
You can also sign into Disney+ on Ignite TV or Ignite Streaming using your existing Disney+ subscription without signing up for a promotion through Shaw.
You can also go to the Disney+ website at disneyplus.com and login to manage other account settings.
If you wish to cancel your Disney+ subscription through Shaw, you must contact a Shaw agent. See shaw.ca/contact-us for a list of contact options.
Once the promotion ends, your subscription(s) will auto-renew at the then-current rate of Disney+ every month starting on your regular billing cycle date. The subscription fee(s) will then be charged to your Shaw account monthly.
You can view details of your subscription(s) in My Shaw or cancel at any time by contacting a Shaw agent. To avoid charges, you must cancel at least 1 day before the end of your promotion or before the monthly subscription renewal date.

Yes, content is streamed over the Internet and will count against your monthly data usage.
Note: Many of Shaw’s Internet plans included unlimited monthly data. You can view details for all our Internet plans here.
There are two ways you can set parental controls for the Disney+ App on Ignite TV or Ignite Streaming devices:
By default, Disney+ will be set to TV-GA. You can lock content under Settings > Parental Controls > TV Rating Locks on your Ignite TV or Ignite Streaming devices. Once locked, a Parental Control PIN is required before you can access the app.
You can block access to the Disney+ App using Applications Locks found under Settings > Parental Controls on your Ignite TV or Ignite Streaming devices.
