Learn how to reset your Shaw Gateway box or your Shaw Gateway HDPVR. You may want to try resetting your Gateway unit if you are experiencing issues such as no video signal or are unable to see your PVR recorded programs. In most cases, if you are experiencing an error code on your Gateway system such as 5102, 3402 or p002 and feel that your Gateway needs to be reset, you will need to contact our Gateway Technical Support line at 1-855-812-5090.

How to reset the Gateway

The instructions below apply to the Gateway / Portal system. If you want to reset your Shaw Gateway system on your own, you can perform the following reset:

  1. Locate the reset button on the back of your Gateway Portal.

  3. The portal will now be reset. This process can take up to a few minutes to complete.
  4. If the problem persists, locate the reset button on the back of the main Gateway unit.

  6. The Gateway system will now be reset. This process can take up to a few minutes to complete.

How to reset the Gateway HDPVR

  1. Hold the power button for 4 seconds and then release.
  2. The Gateway HDPVR will now be reset. This process can take up to a few minutes to complete.
