Occasionally you will find that you need to reset your Digital Box due to issues such as no picture, no sound, pixelation on the TV screen, or the inability to record content on your PVR. Resets are a simple and fast way to resolve the majority of these types of issues. Once rebooted, it will take your interactive guide roughly one hour to reload all of the content, but a picture should be present immediately. Resetting your digital box
If you do not have an Expander connected to your Digital Box, please perform the following steps to reset your Digital Box:
  1. Locate and unplug the power cable on your Digital Box.Grounded Power Cable
  2. Wait 30 seconds
  3. Plug the power back into the Digital Box.
  4. Wait approximately 1-2 minutes for the Interactive Guide functions to be fully restored.Shaw Cable Box Unplugged Power Supply                                                                            Example: A DCT700's power supply

Did You Know


If you are using a Digital Box with the classic guide, the channel guide will display To Be Announced after the reset. This is normal; you can expect the channel listings to populate within the hour.
