I’m trying to greet the voice command setup.

I follow the steps on the screen.
- press and hold Setup

- light turns green

- pours press Menu (the Shaw button)

the light flashes green for awhile then nothing.

So, you are getting nothing on the screen? Try un-pairing the remote and try again:

  1. Press and hold the Setup button until the power button changes from red to green.
  2. Enter 987.

These two steps should "cancel" any existing pairing.

Then, try again to "add" the pairing.

If successful, try saying any voice command. While you are talking, does any lamp on your remote-control light up? Does the BlueCurve correctly react to your command?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your remote @badval @scottstp I would recommend giving these steps on our Community page a try: Program your Shaw Remote Control

If that still doesn't help, this 2nd link might be of use: https://www.urcsupport.com/shaw/

From there, if issues continue, please give our Support Specialists a poke at https://www.shaw.ca/contact-us they will be able to provide further troubleshooting and determine the next best steps if needed.
