Does not happen. Here's a quote from someone else's post, so it's not just me and not just an anomaly:
'I spoke with Technical support today, as I too am missing (from my phone and computer) all the local networks on Xfinity by Shaw streaming app (formerly Ignite Tv) since Jan 1, 2025. They confirmed to me that the missing channels (networks) have been removed from the live streaming app.'
No longer available is: CBC, CTV / CTV2, or GLOBAL (only CityTv is avail.)
@MarthaJab Nope, possibly an account or technical issue. The channels are available and working for me on the app and laptop.
@rstra @MarthaJab @TGAG and anyone else I might have forgot. I just tried on my Fire 10 tablet and I can confirm that @rstra is correct in the fact that, Yes if you are connected to your home wi-fi all those local channels CTV, CBC, GLOBAL, on the streaming app are there and work totally great. So I am assuming this is only affecting away from home access for those offending channels. What a shame, this will affect people's viewing habits, when not at home.
Same here - lost CBC first, then CTV and Global a few weeks later.
