@sghatch can you provide details about your setup? Do you have a soundbar? How is it connected to your TV? What type of TV? Have you tried rebooting the TV and / or Ignite player?

Crazy, 2024 and the problem still persists. My tv is fine, second time in my life I’m using Shaw. My mother’s… is out of sync. I don’t have all the stats on her tv, but she has what I have set up. And that mod comment that SAP can be toggled on and off.. nope.  You can’t anymore at least. Just reset it. We will try changing the audio. She has no surround sound or anything complex. Just the box connected to the tv. She can turn them off, and it will fix for a bit. They unplugged and still there. Will see where this goes .

Had Shaw for 2 years. All was fine. Changed to another provider and then back to Shaw. Now it is a real problem. Had a tech out and he could not fix it and suggested I play with the TV settings. No help. It has the problem on a new LG, an older Sony and I even tried an old "fluid" and they all had the same problem. Not good.

We also have the same issue.

Was happening on older TV which decided it had a good life and was retired.

It even happens on the brand new TV. Is much more obvious in the evening when, I suspect, usage is greater and less bandwidth is thus available to send the signal out so something has to give. In this case the audio. I would have to say it is next to useless to try get shaw to fix this as they will say all is fine.

I have had issues with my internet as well. It worked fantastic before they FORCED me to upgrade to the new wireless modem - XB7. Told me a line that it would give me better range, better this, better that and make my breakfast in the AM (not really but all the claims seemed to imply this). The range is less and worse. Old one used to fully reach out to my garage - new one, in same spot gets 1/2 way and dies. Modem has been replaced. No change. So getting them to fix a out of sync audio with video is going to be impossible. Makes TV at times just about not watchable.

I do have to say Shaw does train it reps well to stick to their well worn script and not deviate away from it.

They have been tried and nothing works. Same issue happened last night. Audio did not sync with video fully. Most noticeable when lips move and the words do not match. I was up at 5 AM this morning and turned on the TV. Everything was in sync! Of course, it always is when the load is low. But I know, when it gets busy (more people using internet/TV services) it will lose sync again. This is the pattern which happens over and over again. But to make sure I went to the oldest TV we have the last time this was happening, it has no features, no smart features, no fancy sound/menu selections, no ability to connect to our wireless. A basic TV. And guess what? I know, you cannot guess.  But go ahead. Take a guess. Humour me!

You are right it also had the audio/video not synced up. So it cannot be on my end or a fault of my TV. If I feel like it I will get out my analysis equipment and put it on the connection coming into the house. I suspect I will then be able to see the data streams are not 100% in sync. There will be some lag - causing this issue. This was how, many years ago, I proved to Shaw the problem (bad signal at times) was not in the house but the wiring. They came by, I had my test equipment hooked up to their line and the tech took one look (senior tech) and said he will have to replace the boxes and wiring in the alley on the poles. He was here for less than 5 min. Two days later they rewired from the demark point the entire set of houses on my side of the street. (Only 8 so not so bad).
