How to change the WiFi password on a BlueCurve Gateway
This page provides the information that you will need to change your WiFi password on the BlueCurve Gateway. To change the password for the wireless network on your Gateway, you will need to log into the modem configuration page which will allow you to configure various settings related to your wireless network. Before proceeding, ensure that you have an ethernet cable connecting your modem to your computer/laptop, or that you are connected to your personal WiFi network.
It is always a good idea to document your WiFi settings such as your network name and WiFi password just in case you forget them or are required to re-enter your wireless network information in the future.
Your WiFi network password is the password you use to connect to the WiFi network. To change the password for your WiFi network you will need to log into the Gateway configuration page which will allow you to configure various settings related to your WiFi network. To change your network password:
Open an Internet browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc...) and navigate to the address bar at the top of the page. Enter the following: 10.0.0.1, and then hit the enter key on your keyboard:
Log in to the modem with the following information:
if this is your first time logging in to the modem configuration page, you will be asked to update the password. If you've already logged in previously and updated the password, please use that instead.
SelectConnection>WiFifrom the menu on the left.
Select theEdit button beside either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz to change the password for that network.
Enter your newWiFi password in the Network Password field.
If you would like to restore this setting to its default you can do so by performing a pin-hole reset on the modem (button located on the back of the modem). Please be aware that this reset will restore all customized settings, including WiFi channel and network name.
