Connecting Apple devices
The ShawPasspoint network (SSID) allows for easier registration to Shaw Go WiFi on your Apple device. This lets you register for Shaw Go WiFi from any location with an Internet connection, without having to be physically near a hotspot.
To connect to ShawPasspoint:
- Visit the Get Started page.
- Using the Safari web browser, register for Shaw Go WiFi using your Shaw ID.

Minimum device requirements:
- An Apple device using iOS 8 or higher
- iPhone 5 or newer
- iPad 3rd generation or newer
- iPad Air
- iPad Mini 2nd generation or newer

Connecting Android and all other devices
To connect all other devices to the ShawOpen network:
- Visit your nearest hotspot. To find a hotspot near you visit shaw.ca/internet/wifi.
- Open Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Select ShawOpen from the available networks.
- Complete your registration by signing in with your Shaw ID.

Once connected, your device will automatically connect to the ShawOpen network next time you are within range of a hotspot.
