The ShawPasspoint network (SSID) allows for easier registration by installing a profile on your Apple device. This allows you to register for Rogers WiFi Hotspots (formerly known as Shaw Go WiFi) from any location with an Internet connection, without having to be physically near a hotspot.

Connecting Apple Devices

 RogersOpenRegistrationFinal.pngTo connect to ShawPasspoint you'll need:

  • An Apple device using iOS 8 or higher
  • iPhone 5 or newer
  • iPad 3rd generation or newer
  • iPad Air
  • iPad Mini 2nd generation or newer

Use the Get Started page at Shaw.ca to register for Rogers WiFi Hotspots without physically visiting a hotspot, using the safari web browser to complete the registration. 

Connecting Android and all other Devices

To connect all other devices:

  1. Visit your nearest hotspot. Click here to find a hotspot near you.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Wi-Fi.
  4. Select RogersOpen from the available networks.
  5. Complete your registration by signing in with your Shaw ID.

Once connected, your device will automatically connect to the RogersOpen network the next time you are within range of a hotspot.
