Consider before contact
There may be a few things to think about before contacting us to request a pause of your services.
Shaw Email and Voicemail
If you would like to keep your Shaw Email and Voicemail services active while your account has been disconnected temporarily there will be a small monthly fee for the duration of the disconnect. Please contact a Shaw representative for more details.
2-year ValuePlans
If you are currently signed up for a 2-year ValuePlan, it will not be possible to suspend the services covered by your contract. This is due to the terms of the Service Agreement which require Internet and/or TV to be kept active for is duration. Make sure to double check if you have a ValuePlan on your account by checking your most recent bill.
Promotions and Legacy Plans
Please be aware that any promotional discounts or legacy service plans will be expired if your account is put on hold for a Seasonal Disconnection.
Equipment Fees
Please be aware that some equipment may not be free, and if you are paying a rental fee for the equipment it may continue to be charged while your account is suspended. Make sure to check with your Shaw representative when you contact us to request the temporary suspension.
Security Systems
If you have a home security system, or monitoring system, it will usually run on the Internet or Phone. If you wish to keep your security systems running while you are away you will need to ensure that you do not put the service that supports it on a temporary suspension.

If you need to reconnect early, or push the date out you can chat with us and we can adjust the date of your re-connection for you. please take into consideration that the new re-connection date must still adhere to the original minimum of 30 days and maximum of 180 days in a calendar year.
