The Ignite HomeConnect (formerly known as Shaw Home) app lets you easily manage and protect your home WiFi and connected devices right from your smartphone from anywhere, at any time. You can install your gateway modem and set up your home WiFi network in minutes, find your WiFi password, turn on Advanced Security cyberthreat protection, and troubleshoot issues whenever you choose. Plus, manage family members' online experiences with features like Pause and Parental Controls.

The Ignite HomeConnect app is available exclusively for Fibre+ or Ignite Internet subscribers with an Ignite WiFi Gateway modem (formerly known as Fibre+ Gateway).

Setting up and using Ignite HomeConnect

Follow the steps below to access the Ignite HomeConnect App.


How to get the app

  • Download the free Ignite HomeConnect (Shaw) app (Apple App Store or Google Play).
  • Sign in with your Shaw ID username and password.

Supported mobile operating systems

  • iOS 15 or later and Android 7.0 (Nougat) or later are supported. 
  • Windows phones and Amazon phones are not supported.



If you get an error saying “We encountered an issue”:

Third-party routers do not support Ignite HomeConnect.
